Let me just say, I think Shoji Meguro is mediocre. A lot of his music sounds rehashed to hell -- he really doesn't change his style. Ever. It gets old. I can name a few Megami Tensei composers that were far better than Meguro -- it's only a pity that Atlus refuses to use anyone other than Meguro these days, so there's absolutely ZERO variation when it comes to Megami Tensei game OSTs. The Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou OST was also very disappointing.
Definitely an overrated composer. Just thought I'd add that in.

I know what you mean, but really I don't listen to it constantly enough (or play SMT games enough) for it to get on my nerves.

Nice podcast.
Wasn't as humorous as the first one though, which I sort of missed (although the hentai drama CD comment was pretty much lol material :p)... But overall, it was more organized and enjoyable to listen to. I liked the brief intermissions (it struck a good balance between the talks and actual game music, in my opinion), and the Hidden Gems portion of the podcast was awesome too. I'll have to check out more Legend of Xanadu and Onimusha music, for sure.
Also wow, the contest for a free copy of Wild Arms 4 is REALLY accessible. :O I'm definitely going to mail a suggestion for the name if I can think of something good.

Hey, mr. 573! You are just SO wrong. Its like wathing, say, Audi and BMW
at a GREAT distance and trying to find 10 differences. You will fail, because you are TOO far away. The same with his music. Both feel and soundscape of his every work are different. Not the same, thats for sure. And if you cannot perceive it, thats not Meguros fault, but yours.

I loved the 'Hidden Gems' segment. Those were some nice Xanadu tracks, Godai. I had never heard the music before, and I'll definitely have to look out for some of it.
Msia, I loved the original Onimusha soundtrack, but did not know the composer was deaf. The quality of the music amazes me even more after finding that out.

Try:
Waking up at 5:45 am on a Saturday morning, with only roughly 4 hours of sleep, for a 7 am meeting. Then working 10 hours of retail with no break; and finally recording a podcast for the 3rd time this week

I enjoy the podcast and hope that you continue producing it. Even on a bi-weekly basis, it is very useful. There just aren't enough podcasts out there with a focus on soundtracks in general, and video game music in particular--in fact, yours is likely the only one for game music, and only the third I've found specifically for soundtracks. Keep it up, chaps.
