#j-rhythm
Just wanted to let people know of a little side project a few of us from #gamemp3s are undertaking. It's called #j-rhythm, and we'll be releasing a variety of Japanese music from (mostly) popular artists. So far we've released Utada Hikaru's 4th album, "ULTRA BLUE", as well as Angela Aki's first album, "Home"...and today Akiko Shikata's, "Navigatoria". The releases won't be as frequent as #gamemp3s, as our main focus is game music, but check it out from time to time, we'll have a website up soon. Since it's smaller and more controlled, we will release scans with each release as well. Here's the link on our tracker.

angela aki's first album is the best. I bought the limited edition with the dvd and uploaded the dvd to jpopuski.
Ah so that was you, thanks for the rips.
yeah, i wanted to up the one thing i bought.

*not really related to the item at hand but*
I just finished downloading a DVD rip of Tour de JAPON music from FINAL FANTASY and did an audio-rip...would you like it for the site, Godai?
ZARD ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
urutapu, as a point of personal interest, I would like it, but we don't release audio-rips of that kind here.
Navigatoria ftw.
i agree miho, sexy cd.

Good job with this, because we all know that the pop acts don't get enough exposure with Japanese music fans. That scene really needs some more fragmentation with people peddling insipid Ayumi and Utada shit even though you can't go anywhere without tripping over some already.
Yeah! We are only doing Ayumi and Utada, ya heard???????????????//////
comment #17
Navigatoria, grand. Shikata needs more exposure--good choice, guys. I knew there was a reason I liked this place.
I didn't even know Utada's new album was out yet, that is just awesome! The other music is great, too!

"Navigatoria". What an amazing album.
Just listening to this I became a Akiko Shikata fan. xD
Do you happen to have more music from the same artist?
This is her only solo album as far as I know, but she has done songs for other things as well. If you check out the "Ar tonelico Hymmnos concert" albums released by #gamemp3s, she contributes a few songs there.
Yeah, I downloaded those albums and are already among my favorites. I noticed some songs sounded very similar and assumed she was in both only to confirm it later on.
A quick google search threw this album: "Haikyo to Rakuen". But couldn't find anything else.
Anyway, thanks a lot. Again, #gamemp3s releasing awesome albums. ^_^

Navigatoria is great, even though I don't know much about this artist. I searched on yahoo/google, and couldn't find too much information and pictures(actaully close to none) about her. Also, anyone knows how old Shikata is?
Shikata actually did compose the soundtrack for some game called "Hanakisou" a year or two back. It's not a vocal album like Navigatoria or Hymmnos Blue, but it does have a few vocal tracks on it. For those interested, you can check it out at her site. There's a crossfade and a sample track:

Track 22 of Disc 2 of that soundtrack is amazing, by the way.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention this. Tracks 5 and 8 of Navigatoria come from that soundtrack (although I believe the album versions are extended).
Just released Angela Aki's indies hit album from 2005, "ONE", check the tracker.

VanRaily: "Track 22 of Disc 2 of that soundtrack is amazing, by the way."
Really? Would you mind sharing it somehow? I've searched everywhere, but I can't find this Hanakisou OST. .____.Uu
comment #27
OMG..! Angela Aki's "Home" is absolutely sensational and now I see another release! Thanks man!

Musashi:
Yeah, I'll see what I can do. I'm operating off a 56k right now so uploading will be a chore, but oh well. I'll post a link to it here once it's up.
And I don't blame you for not being able to find it. I just kind of stumbled upon it in a tiny doujin shop somewhere in Kobe--I didn't even see it in any of the more prolific shops.

As promised, here it is:

Thank you very much!
It's a great song, but it only makes me want to find this OST even more. xD
Guess I'll find it eventually... better to keep an eye on releases so I don't miss another Akiko Shikata CD. =)
hey, i clicked onto it but it ends up saying its not a torrent and stuff... whys that?
I would really like to see Angela Aki's first album ("These words") - can't find it anywhere...
Musashi-
I don't know whether you're still keeping an eye on this topic, but...I have a deal for you. It seems you really want the Hanakisou OST, and haven't had much success in finding it. I'd be willing to part with mine for $15, plus shipping. I'll even throw in the postcard(?) that came with it as a bonus. So, what do you say?
I have the "Haikyo to Rakuen" Album (I mean, from lossless :p)
(question: "Mail (will not be published) (required)"
oh bon sang, again
so i re-repeat my question : why it's required if it's not published (yeah, as Sabin said in FFVI, "...bloody persistent..." ;p)
I have Akiko Shikata's new album,"RAKA" and "Haikyo to Rakuen" but I still don't have the "Navigatoria" album, and now the j-rhythm's torrents aren't working.Any help suggestions?can anyone upload them at file uploading sites?
Can someone upload RAKA? I've been trying to look for it but no luck.
Thanks!
can someone re-seed Navigatoria?
