#gamemp3s Podcast 104 - the battle of your soul
Msia and I have finished another exciting (?) installment of our podcast. This one is pretty long, but if you skip through all the music I guess it's not that long...anyways, lots of random BS as always, we cover such topics as the death of Xenosaga, new albums on the way, Hidden Gems, and a public apology to Suzi Kim for calling her a man. Listen to the podcast for more.

I'm absolutely loving it, but I'm having trouble with the length of this podcast. Due to the file being streamed, seeking is very slow on the PSP and fast forwarding is next to impossible. Besides, the damn thing can't resume for shit. So here's a suggestion: Why not split the cast into sections (music and speech)?
Also, if you're still searching for an alternative name: Why not call it the gamemp3s audioblog? Sounds dull, but still better than Podcast, which is gay just like iPod.

"Sounds dull, but still better than Podcast, which is gay just like iPod."
That's real mature. Podcast is fine.

I just started Episode I a few weeks ago and I already have Episode II for when I finish the first (gotta get III as well now that it's out). I'm absolutely loving it aside from the weird absence of music when running around places, instead replaced by whirring machines.
Are II and III the same in the sense that a lot of places don't really have background music?

I just noticed not once did I say the word Xenosaga in that post.
So, yes, I'm talking about Xenosaga.

Yeah, there is a lot of silence in the first Xenosaga. Xenosaga II I know has more BGM, by Shinji Hosoe, which never saw an OST release.
Fact: The silence in Episode I is way better than all of the music Hosoe created for Episode II.

I heard a rip of Hosoe musics from second episode, and I know why they didn't release it- it sucks:). And what is all about this "gay stuff"? I thought that it's only me and my friends;D.

Awesome stuff guys. Keep talking about random stuff and i'll continue downloading your podcasts. Hail. \o
comment #11
Fact: Ibara is the best thing Hosoe has ever done.

It's nice, the random bullshit you guys talk about is great, but so are the music selections. Good stuff.
Msia's "bashing" on myspace isn't going to get old anytime soon either.

jeriaska: Log off Myspace, put the razor blade down, and listen to our last show.

I was emo over the fact that you neglected to mention the upcoming releases of Front Mission Online and FF III OSTs

The Soul Blade intro track was a nice blast from the past. Especially because it's different than the one heard ripped from the actual game. The "Throughout History and the World" announcer blathering on in the beginning isn't present in your version just the music beneath it.

Just remember, when a podcast comes out once a month or so, and it's about something you enjoy, longer is always better. If you have a problem with skipping ahead, pausing, and resuming, then don't use a game machine to play mp3's, use a mp3 player.
