Dropping a Deuce
A pair of new albums tonight:
Ridge Racer 7 direct audio
Soul Cradle Arrange Track
To couple with the "Nite Grooves Tunes" album is the rest of the music from "RR7", featured here are Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Hiroshi Okubo, Akitaka Tohyama, Nobuyoshi Sano, Tetsukazu Nakanishi, ESTi, and more!
Tenpei Sato has another fruity picture in the arrange album booklet (check out the scans, I also put some scans up for some of our other recent releases) which is always cool.

Fruity Tenpei Sato pictures are what I live for. Seriously.
Nice work!

Ten more releases, then #gamemp3s will have released 1111 albums. =)

Tenpei Sato is a guy? OMG, that picture is scary....

I wonder if Sato has a "downstairs mix-up" like Old Gregg...

I was waiting for RR7, thanks a lot!
Oh noes, the .nfo says "NGBI" instead of "NBGI."

I just can't get into this album. It's all like head-pounding club music now.
RR6 and Ridge Racers Direct Audio will remain my favorites.
Oh well, at least I've found love for "Supercruiser".
I would recommend not looking at the picture of Tenpei Sato
comment #10
Am I wrong to think "Calm" is the best song on Ridge Racer 7? Well, this ain't the [I'll spare everyone] RR I grew up with.
I am listening to Soul Cradle now and it's great so far, well at least the first two tracks.
And why is Galaxy and In Your Eyes missing from the RR soundtrack? The best tracks of RR7 are missing :/
comment #12
Emil: They're both on King Street Sounds - Nite Grooves Tunes For Ridge Racer 7
comment #13
Yeah they are, I was just wondering why they are missing. I thought the direct audio featured everything that was in the game - the line-in recording has a lot more songs than this.
I think they outsourced some of the audio (King Street Sounds - Nite Grooves Tunes For Ridge Racer 7) for this game, and I'm guessing the Direct Audio is for all the music done by artists in house with Namco.
By the way, does anyone know why there wasn't an official soundtrack release for Ridge Racer 6?
Did something go wrong?
Good question soniclover, not that 360 games don't get soundtracks in Japan, but maybe that was a contributing factor to the lack of a soundtrack release.
Msia: That would be a reasonable explanation. Haven't thought of it!
Wow the SC arrange is so much more the sato I love than the game tracks. Thanks for the awesome upload.

I don't know if you remember but last october on PSU ost day I talked about the soundtrack to SEGA's Homestar Portable which has by far one of the best melodies I've ever heard.. Well it seems they finally released a CD gathering all the musics from this wonderful sky guide.
Don't really know how to get it officially but here is the link:

I'll investigate the matter but if you own it and are interested ripping it, that would be appreciated of course.
cheers

"Calm" and two of the "You've Got a New Machine" tracks
Oh well
Loving the sound regardless ^^
Thanks as always
