Rockman Time

Here is:

Rockman 7 Original Soundtrack
Rockman 8 Original Soundtrack

Team Entertainment, not Capcom, have brought these two classics to CD form. Not much to say about these!

Note: Torrent is now available.

I very much enjoy this new HTTP download format, especially since my ISP makes downloading torrents fairly difficult.

Awesome. Rockman 7 could use some heavy metal treatment if you ask me.

No problem guys, was also going to say, I can't add the scans links to the page, but I have uploaded them to the usual scans location, if you want to check them out.

Awesome, thanks Godai! Now just gotta wait for the arranged albums, which are looking absolutely AWESOME so far.

Let's hope there's something about these release (like bonus tracks or SOMETHING) that justify waiting 10+ years to release these!

Thanks again for a great site!

Hey, thanks! Been waiting for a decent MM8 release for a while. Here's hoping they did the ending credits justice.

Shademan's alternate theme (theme from Ghost and Goblins) was a surprise... that's a pretty sweet MegaManized version of the music.

Holy crap, you guys are going to be really busy with all the upcoming releases.

Has anyone else noticed the wild scratching going on about 5 seconds into track 6 (Freezeman) on Rockman 7? I know some of the tracks have sound effects, but that definitely isn't the case with this one.

comment posted by Judge Ito on 26 November

Judge Ito: I dunno if it's an actual sound effect or not, but it is on the actual CD. So, it's not a problem with the mp3 itself.

All tracks on Rockman 8 OST sounds like they are stereo-rotated by about 90 degrees, how strange...

Another great release guys! I had no idea there were plans to release these wonderful soundtracks. I love Rock/Mega Man 7 and it's music is (according to me) some of the best in the entire series.

Thank you so very much Godai and team!

Hmm.. I seem to have some CRC problems unzipping Slashman.mp3 from Rockman 7 OST, can anyone help? I've tried both Winzip and Winrar.

I'm not too surprised TEAM didn't bother to call up Capcom to decipher some of the real names for Rockman 7. Perhaps Capcom keeps their weird aliases closely guarded (or maybe they just forgot who did them)...

comment posted by XISMZERO on 26 November

There's definitely pretty bad artifacts on the Freezeman track.

comment posted by Mazinger on 26 November

Note that TEAM has remastered the audio on the Rockman 8 CD. The sound's basslines, percussions are more voluptuous, meatier. Go listen to the gamerip and CD versions of Frostman/Ice Stage for the audible differences.

And yes, Freezeman on the Rockman 7 OST is unprofessional, sloppy.

Thanks for confirming, guys.

The Rockman 1-6 and X1-X6 collections all had their own problems (mixed with sound effects, bad conversions, etc.) and those were Suleputer releases. TEAM's just making sure everything stays par for the course, I guess. Great releases all around, though. Glad to see they've been given recognition.

Hmm arent these the bootlegs that Capcom or was it Cocoebiz(?) was making a fuss about a while before?

comment posted by Visionnerz on 27 November

In track 23 (Wily Final Form) of the Rockman 7 OST you can hear the life bar count up right before the battle starts. That's so not supposed to be there, right?

comment posted by crusher on 27 November

Ok, we've got artifacts in one track, and SFX in at least 4.

Then tack on that the tracks are out of order really on Rockman 8...

Team Entertainment is full of suck. :(

I doubt Cocoebiz was making a fuss about bootlegs if these two albums are at the top of their own page.

I'd just like to know why some songs don't loop twice (or even complete once) and then we have the stage select repeat for 1:43.

comment posted by Squid Rooster on 27 November

Sir VG, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Team Entertainment has been on the forefront of good VGM releases, new and old. Chances are that they went to Capcom and said "hey can we print these *SINCE YOU NEVER DID*?" And Capcom said "yeah sure but we're not gonna help you, good luck compiling all the music."

If anyone who grabbed this release on HTTP has some spare bandwith, would you mind helping to seed the torrent, thanks.

comment posted by Godai on 28 November

Ramza's got a good point. Like I mentioned earlier, the (lack of) quality isn't that much different than the Suleputer boxset releases. These are probably just carry-overs from an unpublished backlog. TEAM shouldn't get so much of the blame for things.

06 Freezeman.mp3 does have one horrible noise at the start of the song :O

Does anyone know why the Rockman 8 intro song wasn't added to the soundtrack? Does it require seprate licensing or something?
