Holy balls-ass. Ys and Shoji Meguro in one package. Though I must confess, I have reservations about the Persona 3 Portable OST. Meguro's been making a lot of battle themes with singing in them lately, and I assume he does it again. Actually, I don't even know if this OST is different from the PS2 version at all.
I don't get why the battle themes have to be vocal. I'd be too embarrassed to play a game in which every time I get into a random battle - which is always with SMT games - some upbeat, poppy number about fighting for friendship starts filling my ears with tumors. That kind of thing must be cool in Japan. I mean, anime.
That SMT Strange Journey OST might show some promise, even though it's for the DS. The Tales Of series hasn't produced anything worth biscuits to me since Symphonia, yet this could be the turnaround.
Thanks for sharing another batch of OSTs, right before the X-mas no less.

Well, indeed P3P has some pop tendency that Meguro adopted in the series debut on the last gen. But wait... Strange Journey it's totally AMAZING. I myself was suprised by the outstanding sound quality on a NDS.

Shiina's well worthy of ye bold type - if bold type means the composer is a highlight of the album, which I didn't even realise until now.

After listening to strange journey, you should know that its 100% synth orchestra + synth choir and very dark and brooding. There is zero persona 3 pop/hip hop stuff.

Thanks for the holiday greetings everyone. Some additional feedback to your comments:
1) Yes, I am a big Go Shiina fan. I didn't realize bolding a name would cause such an uproar, so it's been removed. That won't happen again for any composer in releases going forward.
2) I fucked up the YS album title, so expect that fix on the next release since the torrent is already too widely available.
3) The post title comes from an artist on the Radiant Mythology 2 soundtrack - 222. This individual remixed the Game OP. I wonder if they also use that name on their resume?

Is that maybe you and the Ys series hates so much each another? Or thinking deeply in another things?
Now, I wonder where to ask this, but is normal that the new tracker tells the client to announce itself every 15 seconds? I find it to be a really short time between announces, and if that is actually intentional.

What the hell's up with that Tales OST NOT having a remix of "The Law of the Battle" from Symphonia? I think they did that before. The OC Remix album also left it out. That = retardedness. It's like having a Castlevania remix album without "Bloodlines".

The OCR album initially planned a Law of the Battle remix, but it was never finished. We decided to leave it out due to the fact that nobody else wanted to take a stab at it. Sorry.
