Wow holy shit it's Zed Blade, never saw that one coming. Wonder if we'll see any more classic NMK in the future. And Akai Katana is out already? I'm glad they went with Umemoto this time over new school Namiki.
Gonna give Okamiden a fair chance, not expecting miracles though. DR2: Um, I loved DR1, but my mama always told me if you don't have anything nice to say... well anyways thanks guys!

I am greatly indebted to you, Msia.

Very interesting idea to split the dead rising music so the first disc is all the action/horror tracks and disc 2 is all the lounge music. Disc 2 is pretty good

Okamiden is my personal highlight, thanks for the release!

Post-listening comments in descending order of enjoyment
Zed Blade: I know Namiki is well-known for "stealing" stuff from himself and others (not that it bothers me at all), but somehow I never realized the Batrider ending from APB comes directly from this game's stage 2, and the final boss from both this game and Battle Garegga share an identical section. Check it out. And skip the digital recording tracks at the beginning unless you really want to hear everything twice.
Akai Katana: Ok so it's pretty generic after all, but still this rocks, definitely top 3 Cave soundtrack for me. Of course, I still need to actually play the game to hear it in context to be sure. Standouts are all the tracks that are played while the game itself isn't actively being played, heh. Ending reminds me of 19XX with the buildup to guitar solo. Disc ends with a whimper due to voice samples and no remixes, but there'll be an arrange album I'm sure.
Okamiden: 2nd best OST in this release based around somewhat traditional Japanese instrumentation! I had no idea going in that there would be so much recycling from the first game. I imagine this could be a real bummer to a lot of people. Does this mean the game itself contains mostly familiar locations? I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Dead Rising 2: I get the joke (?) in the write-up now! Disc 1 is the game's "actual" score. Besides some bonus tracks at the end, disc 2 is diagetic music, most of which are simply remixes from the first game! So yeah, disc 2 is pretty good, haha. This is another example of how the quality of a game's OST and its music can really differ, and why it's bad to judge the music in game A versus game B if you've played exactly one of them.
