-Info-
Alright, I finally got Before the Fall in and I figured I'd release the rest of the Final Fantasy Bluray stuff I did. I always mean to give a week or two between blog posts so I was going to wait after posting the last FFXIV post before putting some new ones up but then ... other priorities happen ;). So, long story short, I'm just dumping all the Final Fantasy Blurays I've done that I haven't released yet and I threw in a few Final Fantasy albums that I ripped but never posted! All said and done it will be 8 albums total!
Again, these will be posted as individual download links. If you do not want some of the releases you are free to pick and choose which ones you do! Blog post looks a little weird with so many releases but I'm trying to make it work.
Some notes about these albums:
- Final Fantasy X HD Remaster Original Soundtrack contains a bunch of new remastered tracks for the rerelease of the game. You can find the breakdown of what's new and what's not over at it's album entry at vgmdb.net!
- Final Fantasy XIV From Astral to Umbral ~Arrangement Album~ has a hidden/secret menu track (Pa-Paya) but since that song has been included on like 300 releases to-date, I did not include it here. It's not part of the official tracklist either so no real loss leaving it out.
- Final Fantasy Explorers Original Soundtrack the last bunch of tracks I don't think are arranged in any way other than cut to 49s in length so I didn't credit Sekito on them. I don't think he did anything other than cut them. Also, this soundtrack is *AWESOME*.
- Final Fantasy X-2 Original Soundtrack has a directory name of " [2013]" appended to it because some of you may have our original release and there would be a name conflict otherwise. Feel free to remove this if you don't have the original release. It also has a few new tracks compared to the original release.

Update: All torrents should be updated with the correct announce URL, redownload if you still have issues.
The torrents above should download but it may not pickup the tracker. If your client doesn't pickup the tracker, modify the tracker url from "http://tracker.gamemp3s.net/" to "http://tracker.gamemp3s.net/announce" and it should pick it up. In uTorrent it's right click the torrent --> Properties --> Trackers (separate tiers with an empty line), or alternately in the Trackers tab of the torrent, right click --> Add Tracker --> Trackers (separate tiers with an empty line).
Working with admin to update the existing ones but might end up having to delete and reupload the torrents but we'll see.

That's quite the massive upload, dancey! You guys work hard for your collection and ripping/encoding processes, and I appreciate you all. Much looking forward to seeing what's been going on in the final fantasy music world. Haven't heard anything from the XIV series or much any orchestral arrangements (although I did get to watch a live performance of Distant Worlds back around 2010).

In FFXHD Remaster, is Out Of The Frying Pan clipping like mad for anyone else?
Thanks, Duder, for pointing that out. I went back and checked 4 different sources:
- #gamemp3s mp3 version (converted from FLAC, which was converted from WAV which was pulled out of the MKV container and downsampled, which was ripped off the Bluray) -- *CLIPPING*
- Personal FLAC version (converted from WAV which was pulled out of the MKV container and downsampled, which was ripped off the Bluray) -- *CLIPPING*
- Bluray source (Ripped with MakeMKV but no other conversions done) -- *CLIPPING*
- Bluray source (Played on my PS3 through my TV and even though I don't have the greatest sound system on my TV, I could easily hear the clipping) -- *CLIPPING*
- Checked zipped mp3s on the Bluray -- *NO CLIPPING*
Suffice to say I think this is a mastering issue. There is some discussion by _if over @ vgmdb.net (http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12752) about SQEX's approach to Bluray releases in that they upsample from 16/44.1 --> 24/96 so I imagine something went wrong in the upsample process. He also discussed it in one of the FFXIV threads (http://vgmdb.net/forums/showpost.php?p=55542&postcount=7).
If you find any others that clip please let me know or post over @ vgmdb.net in the corresponding album thread and point it out. Not sure there is anything I can do about it for our release since we're not going to release the zipped 320 mp3s. I'm sure you can find them in a billion other places, though.

Any chance of a single big torrent for *all* the albums, like the olden days?
We won't be doing multi-album torrents ever again, reasons and discussion can be found here: http://www.gamemp3s.net/2013/04/07/soul-sacrifice-original-soundtrack/
This particular release was probably way too big for a single blog post and that's my fault for waiting 3+ years to release some of these. It should not be a common occurence (if ever again). We may do additional multi-release blog posts when it's thematically appropriate (there will be a Fire Emblem one coming up), but if we're releasing things in a decent timeframe they should never get batched up like this.

to lighten the whole thing, you coulda made a bdrip torrent (5) and a cdrip torrent (3)
almost half of the current torrent
comment #14
Thank you!

Dancey, yeah.
I also went back and checked some other sources just in case and came to the same conclusion. Other suffering tracks I noticed were 1052 Macalania Woods and maybe 1063 Assault. Assault is not as clear as the others, but I think I hear it.

Thank you! <3
comment #17
Old post but... Are the bonus tracks from BtF included in this album?
Hymn of the Fayth for Bahamut is wrong - Anima's Hymn has been duplicated twice.
You are right, I'll try and get that fixed. Sorry about that. The bluray indexes are all sorts of fucked up and I essentially have to rebuild it individually.
Hi, is there a fix coming for the problem described by Bayne?
I just found out about it too.
